Houston Museum of Natural Science
The Houston Museum of Natural Science is home to a variety of permanent and traveling exhibitions covering natural sciences of all sorts, from gems and minerals, paleontology, chemistry and more to astronomy, space science, and Native American culture. Fun fact - the Houston Rockets weren't originally from Houston. They were once the San Diego Rockets. But since 1971 the Rockets have called Houston home, and we're happy to have them here. Playing their home games in the Toyota Center since its completion in 2003, a Rockets game is always an exciting event whether you're from Texas or just a traveler passing through. Just over a mile away, Hotel Icon is perfectly located near the Toyota Center for those going to the game or one of the many concerts and events hosted there.
